1. Put Them in Visible Places. Always double-check to make sure your signs are visible from every direction. Be sure nothing obstructs the view and that potential customers of all types will be able to see them if they are walking, biking, or driving.
2. Give Plenty of Warning Before Turns. There's nothing worse than being on the hunt for properties and passing right by the turn because a sign is placed too close to the corner. Shoot for 10-20 feet before the turn.
3. Cover all Neighborhood Entrances. You'll also want to place a sign at stop signs in the neighborhood. Determine the route from sign to house and place a sign at each turn.
4. Follow HOA Rules.Be sure that you are compliant with neighborhoods that have an HOA. You don't want to annoy the neighbors or start off on the wrong foot.
5. Get CreativeConsider local coffee shops and grocery stores. They often have a community board you can post a flyer on.
